KNC-601 Linear Scanner 3G
The KNC-601 Linear Scanner is a capacitive, largely contactless thickness sensor for measuring the profile of flat films. A unique feature of the KNC-601 is its temperature-controlled air cushion and active film tracking via a linear motor. For inline stretching systems (MDO) for blown film extrusion, we recommend using one KNC-601 Linear Scanner per film half.
Application
- Largely contactless thickness measurement for MDO and cast film lines
- For tacky films (e.g., containing EVA or metallocenes) with sensitive outer layers
Special Features
- Temperature controlled air gap between sensor and film (Unique feature)
- Adaptive sensor positioning by linear motor (Unique feature)
Technology
- Capacitive thickness measurement
- Automatic edge detection by optical sensors
