3. What Data We Collect and Why
a) Server Log Files
When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects certain information sent by your browser, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and date and time of access. This data is processed to ensure the technical operation and security of the website (legal basis: legitimate interest / Art. 31 revFADP, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
b) Contact Forms
When you submit a contact form on our website (e.g. general inquiry, product inquiry, support request, or quote request), we collect the data you enter, which may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
We process this data to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to take pre-contractual steps at your request (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / performance of or preparation for a contract; legitimate interest for general inquiries under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Form data is stored on our WordPress database, hosted with Metanet, Switzerland, and is retained for 12 months, unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g. for concluded contracts).
c) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (or Google LLC, depending on your setup), to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and general location (derived from IP address, which is anonymized/truncated).
This data is only processed based on your consent, collected via our cookie consent banner before Google Analytics is loaded (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; consent under revFADP where applicable).
